Week 5: Prioritizing my wellness through yoga šŸ§˜šŸ¼

At the start of 2025, I made a commitment to prioritize both my mental and physical health as part of my New Year's resolution. Over the past few weeks, Iā€™ve shared different aspects of this experienceā€”my morning routine, hiking adventures, music preferences, concert experiences, and, most recently, my love for yoga.

Attending yoga classes has quickly become one of my favorite ways to stay active and grounded. I typically go 3-4 times a week, and with a variety of classes availableā€”Barre, power yoga, vinyasa, and even chair yogaā€”thereā€™s always something new to challenge my body and mind. Making yoga a regular part of my routine has helped me start my mornings on the right footā€”both physically and mentally. As someone who has always hated early mornings, I never thought Iā€™d willingly roll out of bed for a workout. But surprisingly, yoga has made the transition a little easier.

What makes this experience even more exciting is that I'm supporting a brand-new local studio that has been thriving since its grand opening in January. Founded by Amanda Waltmeyer, this wellness space has quickly gained popularity, offering an inviting atmosphere and diverse class options. Amanda, along with two additional instructors, leads sessions throughout the week, ensuring thereā€™s something for everyone, no matter their skill level or schedule.

As I continue this wellness journey, Iā€™m reminded how important it is to find activities that not only strengthen the body but also nourish the mind. Whether itā€™s through movement, music, or time spent outdoors, prioritizing self-care has been one of the most rewarding changes Iā€™ve made this year.

  2. It's almost the end of February, so if this was your New Year's resolution then it seems like you're doing a great job of maintaining it. Congratulations, wish I could say the same haha

  3. I could never maintain any kind of yoga schedule, so I'm jealous that you're able to! Yoga is getting really popular. Do you feel the effects of the yoga already, if so how long did it take?

  4. Doing yoga sounds fun, and congratulations on your consistency! I know how tough that can be. It's also great that you're supporting a local small business. Do they offer any goat yoga classes, though?!
